The incident of two students gone missing has created shock waves in the City. Two girls who are students of a Amrita Vidhyalaya, a private school in Nallampalayam, studying in seventh standard went missing from morning, following which the parents laid siege to school.

This morning, both the girls left to the school from their home in a private cab. Few hours from then, the parents learnt from the school that their children had not reported to the school. Appalled by the news, the parents rushed to the school and found their children missing. They immediately lodged a complaint with the Thudiyalur Police station regarding their missing children.

According to initial investigation, sources from the Police say the two girls who are studying in 7th class arrived at the school in a private van, but they did not enter the school. And, since they have taken a set of clothes with them, the police suspect if the missing students would have skipped their classes purposefully.

However, the distressed parents and relatives of the missing students staged an agitation in front of the school seeking explanation from the school authorities on the incident. Hence, tense situation prevailed in the area leaving the public speculate the reasons behind the missing students

The Police have launched a hunt to find the missing girls in transit points like bus stand, railway stations and malls.
