The Central Government has plans to link Aadhar number with driving license in order to make digital governance a complete one, said Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister of Information and Technology.
Addressing the Digital Haryana 2017 conference Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the move has already been under discussion with Nitin Gandhari, Union minister of Road Transport.

The linking of Aadhar number which has unique identification number for every individual in the nation, with biometric details of the person, is a unique identify for even citizen of India.
The seamless connection of Aadhar number with bank account and Pan Card has helped curb financial irregularities he said.
However, when the SC has ruled privacy as a fundamental right, the linking up Aadhar number with all services would be an invasion of privacy and lead to data theft say critics of the policy.
