Drunken Armed Reserve Cop caught red-handed by public, during vehicle check.



Karthik (39) an armed reserve constable who was engaged in vehicle check in Marakadai in an inebriated condition was taken to task, as public called up the control room and handed him over to the police.

The said constable working in Tamilnadu Armed Reserve police was seen stopping and checking vehicles near Marakadai, in a drunken state, when the public sensed something fishy and called up the control room.

Following the complaints received at the police control room, police men arrived at the scene, and took away the erring cop who was in a inebriated state. The erring constable was subjected to sniff test in Government Medical College Hospital . 

"Based on the results from GH, a report would be submitted to the Superintendent of Police following which punitive action would be taken against the erring armed reserve constable." the police officials said.
