The City Traffic Police have enforced the 'one side parking' to ease congestion and parking woes in RS Puram area, which comes under the 23rd wars of the City Corporation.
As per the one side parking arrangement, the vehicles would be parked on only one side on the road, and it will be in force in DB Road from today, the 14th September. The parking change will be implemented from Cowley Brown Road to Ramalingam road covering 13 streets.
Inaugurating the one side parking arrangement Police Commissioner, A.Amalraj appealed to the city denizens to cooperate in the effort and thanked the RS Puram Welfare Association for their support.
"The parking lot would be shifted to other side of the road next month. Hence, the whole arrangement works on a rotational basis' he said.
COP also insisted the residents of RS Puram to install CCTV camera in their residents and commercial establishments to curb robbery and other uneventful incidents.
Lakshmi, Deputy Commissioner (Law and order), Assistant Commissioner, Perumal, RS Puram Resident Welfare Association members, Chairman of Advaith Group of Industries, Ravi Sam and many others took part in the new parking regulation inauguration.
