Issuing a stern warning to striking Government teachers and employees of JACTO-GEO, the High Court which heard a PIL said that the Government teachers while drawing hefty pay are protesting for more which is highly condemnable.
Raising some pertinent questions Justice Kirubakaran questioned as to what action the state has initiated against the protesting teachers who have boycotted classes and hit the streets to stage various agitations and protests in the past few days all over the state.
“While the teachers are endowed with the responsibility of the raising the next generation, they are indulging in strike and public protests, which is worry some factor. Teachers, medical fraternity and Police should not indulge in such act of public strikes and dissent as it would affect the society badly”, the judge noted.
“The court has taken serious view of the ongoing strike and it might stop the striking teachers from approaching court for any grievances in future, if they don't give up their strike now”, the High court warned.
