Even as the AIADMK general council which met a Vanagaram passed 12 vital resolutions including expulsion of jailed V.K.Sasikala from the interim General Secretary post, the political scenario in the state has hotted up.
Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palanisamy and Deputy Chief Minister O.Panneerselvam have been appointed as Coordinator and co-coordinator of party, to look after its affairs.
The post of General Secretary would remain vacant, as the General council decided not to nominate any one to the post which was held by erst while CM J.Jayalalithaa.
CM Edapadi K.Palanisamy has vowed to save the AIADMK from those wrecking it from inside. “The party which split into two factions have joined hands, which is a historical event", he said.
But TTV Dinakaran, the sidelined Deputy General Secretary chose to name the general body meeting as "just another meeting". “The MLAs who are with OPS-EPS would return to our camp. When Edapadi was chosen as CM, party leaders like Semmalai objected to it but, now they have joined hands, TTV Dinakaran said.
