District wing of DMK (South District) cadres and the general public petitioned District Collector TN Hariharan, not to open new TASMAC outlet at Chettipalayam road, opposite to Eachanari Vinayagar temple.
Arguing that religious places such Eachanari Vinayagar Temple and Saibaba Temple are situated in the vicinity they said that the proposed TASMAC outlet would pave way for tipplers gathering in the areas causing public nuisance to devotees and school students.
