Demanding to the initiate punitive action against the Tipper lorry operators who are guilty of overloading, the Tipper Lorry Owner Association members petitioned District Collector TN.Hariharan to do away with the menace which lead to road accidents.
“Some greedy tipper operators throw norms to winds and transport extra load which lead to road accidents. The callous operators should be brought to book and punished for the violations through the strict enforcement of rules Transport department”, the petitioners have prayed in the submitted petition.
