District Collector convenes meeting with officials to ensure law and order during protests.

Following the series of anti-NEET protests in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Chennai High Court has advised the state government to ensure law and order in evey district. However, the said order does not stop protests that are held in a peaceful manner.

Reacting to the HC order, the state government has passed orders to all District Administration to ascertain the nature of protests hosted and to-be hosted in their district and also ensuring law and order is not compromised in the name of protests. 

Here in the city, District Collector TN Hariharan conducted a meeting today at the Collectorate to be apprised on the law and order situation in the city and also on the upcoming protests. 



The meeting was attended by Moorthi, Superintendent of Police, Lakshmi, Deputy Commissioner (Law & Order), Ravichandran, District Revenue Officer, Gayathri, Deputy Collector, Ganesha moorthy, Chief Educational Officer and officials from various other departments.
