TNHB allotees association members petition collector alleging victimization of house buyers.



Alleging that Tamilnadu Housing Board, is demanding exorbitant land rates for houses allotted about two decades back, , the affected Tamilnadu Housing Board allotees association members petitioned district collector TN Hariharan to intervene and set right their grievances.

Wearing black masks covering their mouth, the petitioners said that even though the TNHB has sold one lakh houses the titles for 37,000 houses have not been handed over yet. 



“TNHB is demanding exorbitant land rates citing increase in land rates and demands made by owners of the land for the allotted houses. While TNHB is demanding up to Rs.3 lakhs , the court has directed to pay only Rs.6000 per acres.

The petitioners also alleged that TNHB is demanding high interest for the arrear payments for the allotted houses in 1992.” The petitioners alleged.
