Youngster dies while attempting selfie at Catherine waterfall, Kothagiri.



Ranjithkumar aged 22 slipped and fell into Catherine waterfall at Kothagiri while he attempted to take a selfie with his phone. 

On 9th September, the youngster visited Catherine waterfall which was closed for visitors due to flash floods. Ranjithkumar decided to take an adventurous selfie by standing on the tip on a rock at the waterfall. Within a fraction of a second, he slipped off into the deep cliff and lost his life. 

Due to flash floods, the rescue team could not commence the rescue operations on the same day. Today morning, the team comprising of fire & rescue department and the locals located Ranjith's body. The body was sent to post mortem examination.
