For the second consecutive year, Coimbatore City Corporation has been awarded as the "Best Municipality" among other corporations selected from across the country. The award was shared by Pune Corporation, as well.
The award was announced at the 49th Skoch summit held at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
Skoch is a Gurgoan-based independent group dealing with social issues. Last year, the city corporation bagged the award for solid waste management for its zero waste projects.
