District Collector T.N. Hariharan has announced that for the year 2016-17, children of ex-service men who have secured higher marks in board examinations would be honoured with monetary grants.
Those who have registered duly with the Ex-service men (ESM) can procure applications from the Ex-Service Men welfare Office. The student of ESM who have secured first in the district would be awarded with a monetary grant of Rs. 5000/- and the second topper would be awarded with Rs. 3000/- which would be distributed from the ESM Welfare funds.
Hence, eligible applicants with ESM identification cards and other proofs can submit their applications at the ESM Welfare Office and avail the benefits.
