Rajini fans upset with Captain Vijayakanth

A group of Rajnikanth fans staged a slogan shouting protest against DMDK leader Vijayakanth at Kangayam condemning him for stating that he would not back out of politics like their hero.

The angry Rajnikanth fans, who had gathered at the campaign venue of Vijayakanth at Kangayam near Tirupur much before he arrived, started shouting slogans and hurling abuses at the DMDK leader.

"Vijayakanth is dragging Thalaivar (Rajnikanth) unnecessarily seeking to gain cheap publicity. He should withdraw his statement and apologise,'' said a protesting Rajni fan. The protest was a fallout of Vijayakanth's statement made at Villivakkam recently.

"Vijayakanth is not afraid of anyone. I am good to those who are good. I am not afraid like Rajnikanth," he said. The statement had immediately set off angry reactions from fans of the superstar who set afire Vijayakanth's effigies.
