District Collector T.N.Hariharan distributed Albendazole tablets to school children at Ammaniammal Corporation Girls Higher Secondary school in view of the National Deworming Day being observed today all over India.
Albendazole is an anti- worm medication used to treat certain infections caused by worms in the liver, lung, and lining of the abdomen that may cause pain or damage to these organs.
During the event, the District Collector also advised the students to wash their hands thoroughly before consuming their meal. Deputy Commissioner P.Gandhimathi and Officials from the health department took part in the de-worming camp.
