Hundreds of public were spellbound by the electric live music performance, held this evening by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

To commerorate the 71st Independence day, the IAF organised a live musical concert at the Brookefields mall for the second consecutive year. A team of 28 trained musicians from the IAF enthralled the audience with amazing live music of varied genres like fusion, symphony, concertos and classical.

The full-fledged orchestra team led by Squadron Leader BN Ashok displayed amazing talents by rendering soulful performance through musical instruments like Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Euphonium, Jazz set and BSS drums Trombone which captivated the hearts of the audience.

Close to 23 patriotic songs from Tamil, English and Hindi languages were played at the concert which undeniably evoked the patriotic zeal of the viewers. Music has always been a part of the defence culture and this live concert was a vivid proof of professionalism and of course, the stunning talents of IAF's musical band.
"Most of the Air Force officers undergo their training sessions at Coimbatore, this city shares a special place in the heart of every Indian Air Force officers. The idea behind the event is to create awareness among the public on Indian Air Force and also to pay tribute to the Independence day', Air Commander Vaidhya quoted during last year's event.
