Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya flagged off a Swachh Bharath rally from Ooty central bus stand and distributed pamphlets to the members of the public regarding the clean India campaign and the need to use toilets and keep environments clean.
So far 19 gram panchayats in the district have been declared open-defecation free in the district and construction of toilets have been taken up in all the 35 village panchayats under Swacch Bharath mission she said.
Later the collector presided over the a Swacch Bharath oath taking of school students.
