Corporation extends 1500 new UGDS connections in Ondipudur residents.

As many as 1500 new UGDS connections would be extended to households in Ondipudur which comes under old Corporation limits as new sewage treatment plant set up in Ondipudur has become functional said CCMC Commissioner Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan.

Inspecting the Underground Drainage system is Ondipudur, the Corporation officials have finalized the connections which would be extended to households and commercial establishments.

The treatment plant at Ondipudur has the capacity of treating 6 crore liter of sewage per day and it is treating one crore liter presently. While Ukkadam treatment plant is already functioning, the Nanjundapuram project has not taken off due to public protest said City Corporation officials.
