New power sub stations would be established at Cherambadi and Utpatti areas near Gudalur for which works are being expedited said Nilgiris district collector Innocent Divya.

Chairing an inspection meeting with Tamilnadu Assembly Committee on Public Undertakings headed by S. Muthiah which is on visit to the district in she said that the voltage drop and voltage fluctuations have affected a cluster of villages including Kodanadu, Medanadu and neighbouring areas and the new power sub stations would help supply power to the people of the area.
The committee members also discussed about Tamilnadu Tea Plantation Corporation and the area of the tea plantation, profits made and they also inquired about the welfare measures carried out to TANTEA estate workers durng the meeting.
