S.P. Velumani, Minister for Municipalities and Rural development inspected the preparatory works for the inaugural function of Bharathiar University Constituent Arts and Science colleges to be established in Thondmuthur. The inaugural function of the new college is scheduled for August 6
Briefing the media he said admission to the new Arts and Science College would commence from the current academic year 2017-18 itself. Six undergraduate courses including B.A (English), B.A (Economics B.Sc. (Mathematics) B.Com and B.com (CA) and BBA would be offered inn Thondmuthur constituent college) he said.
District Collector T.N .Hariharan and other officials accompanied him during the inspection.
