Perumal, a power loom worker of Erode who was arrested on charges of double murdering of a husband- wife duo near Vaikalpalayam near Karumathampatti who was produced in court today was sent to judicial custody and incarcerated in Coimbatore central prison till August 11.

The bodies of Kumarasamy (65) and his wife Sundarambal (58) were found in a pool of blood in their house and their belongings including jewels and cellphone of the couple were looted. The couple were running the power loom in their own farm house in Vaikalpalayam.
Police investigations revealed Perumal who had worked in the power loom had murdered and looted the jewels as Kumarsamy had scolded him. The culprit also attacked and killed Sundarambal as she had witnessed her husband’s murder.
