Isha Vidya students set new record by drawing rangoli for 6 kms to interlink rivers.


The students of Isha Vidya School, set a record by drawing rangoli for 6 km to create awareness on interlinking of rivers, as a part of "Rally for Rivers", a pan India campaign piloted by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Founder of Isha Foundation.



Over 600 students took part in the massive rally in which the students drew rangoli for a stretch of 6 km starting from Isha Vidya School in Santhekakoundanpalayam to Devarayapuram village. Students of age groups from 6 to 16 took part in this campaign.



The national campaign named “Rally for Rivers” is to commence from Coimbatore on September 2 and the rally would traverse through 22 cities in 16 states, in which all the Chief Ministers of respective states are scheduled to take part. The public appreciated the efforts of the students and their dedication towards a noble cause. 



At the end of the rally, a detailed blue print for interlinking of rivers would be submitted to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in New Delhi by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who is spearheading the national campaign for rivers.
