CCMC Commissioner Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan has made an appeal to the city denizens, hoteliers, and the business community to renovate their Rainwater Harvesting structures (RHS) in their building to help recharge the ground water level in the city.
"RHS are established in parks, industries, educational institutions, hotels and other buildings to harvest the rain water which could drastically help increase the water table. The renovation of these structures would help proper rainwater harvesting", the commissioner said.
“A team of corporation officials are deputed to inspect the building for RHS maintenance and action would be taken wherever there is no RHS", the commissioner added.
