A major breach in the main pipeline supplying drinking water to areas in and around Poosari Palayam remains unattended by the civic authorities.
"Due to the breach, the water wastage is immense and complain has been raised to the Corporation officials, however effort to plug the breach has not begun", said the residents of the area.
"Even as the city is in the grip of severe water crisis, and facing acute water scarcity, the precious water is being wasted when breaches occur in supply pipe lines, and fixing of such breaches should be attended by the concerned officials immediately", the residents said.
