Contract industrial workers stage agitation demanding new pay scale

Demanding that the Government intervene to resolve the worker issues in a private industry, the contract workers have staged an agitation in front of the Taluk office.

The contract workers attached to AITUC said the management of Renganathar Valves, a private company refuse to revise their pay, despite their present work contract coming to an end in 2016.

Even as talks are proceeding between the employees and the management for to revise the pay structure, the management has shifted their machinery to other branches.

The workers also threatened to commence on indefinite fast from August 7, if an amicable solution is not arrived at with in that period.
