The district administration held a meeting with officials of the primary agriculture cooperative societies and rural lending institutions to be cautious while dealing with money transfer. Given the fact that the model code of conduct was in force, they should report all suspicious transactions to the district election officer, the Collector.
If they came across transactions where money from one account was being sent to various accounts of if they suspected transactions were election-related, they should immediately alert the election officials.
They should also keep tab on suspicious pawning of jewellery, the collector said and sought their cooperation, said a release from the administration.
The Collector also sought their help in creating voting awareness among their customers to ensure 100 per cent voting, the release added.
