Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Suresh Prabhu, will be dedicating a host of completed works at the Coimbatore Railway junction and lay foundation stone for new works which are to be implemented in the Coimbatore Junction on July 2.

Suresh Prabhu will dedicate a Skywalk and Escalator for platform approach at Coimbatore junction and new station building at Perianaickenpalayam constructed under Corporate Social Responsibility.

Launching of App-based Cab Services in Coimbatore junction the minister will also inaugurate Thudiyalur Halt Station and passenger amenities at Tiruppur junction including Air Conditioned Paid Waiting Hall in Platform 2 and Passenger Lifts in the FOB connecting Platform No.1 and 2.

The Union Railway Minister would also lay the foundations stone for the following works which include extension of the entrance duly removing the fixed structure. Widening of the stairs connected to the PF No.1A to the main entry concourse area in Coimbatore Railway junction.
A Food plaza by IRCTC in the Main Entry Circulating Area, Construction of new office for Station Manager and elegant Lounge for VIPs and display of vintage Steam loco in Coimbatore Railway Station.

The foundation stone for a multi-level two wheeler parking and New Parcel Office Complex in Coimbatore junction would also be laid on the occasion. Central Ministers, MPs, MLAs and Railway Officials.
