Ramachandran, a jeweler of Kempampatti colony committed suicide by consuming poison. Police recovered his body was found near Selvapuram bus stand and sent it for postmortem.
Police said Ramachandran, had started his gold business joining with some of his friends and procured some gold bars from customers for making jewels. As he could not honor his commitment, the customers had abused him and branded him as a thief.
Following which Ramachandran consumed poison. He is survived by his wife Suryakala and five year old daughter.
