Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power supply disruption tomorrow (July 28) from 9 AM to 4 PM due to monthly maintenance work at the Negamam substation.

The maintenance work will affect power supply in Negamam, Avalappampatti, Kondegavoundampalaiyam, Chinnanegamam, Ramachandrapuram, Kattampatti, Arasur, Mohavanur, V.Velur, and Moongiltholuvu areas. Residents in these localities are advised to plan their essential activities accordingly during the seven-hour power outage.

TNEB conducts monthly maintenance operations at its substations to ensure continuous and reliable power supply to consumers. These preventive maintenance activities are crucial for the smooth functioning of electrical infrastructure and to minimize unexpected breakdowns.

The electricity board has assured residents that the scheduled maintenance work will be completed within the stipulated time frame, and power supply will be restored by 4 PM. Officials have requested the public to cooperate and plan their daily activities keeping the power cut timings in mind.

Such routine maintenance work is essential for upgrading equipment, testing safety systems, and ensuring the longevity of electrical installations. TNEB regularly schedules these maintenance activities to provide better service quality and reduce unscheduled power failures in residential and commercial areas.
