Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has announced a scheduled power outage in several areas of Keeranatham tomorrow, July 15, to facilitate monthly maintenance work at the Keeranatham sub-station.

The maintenance activities are scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, during which power supply will be temporarily suspended in the affected regions. TANGEDCO officials have stated that this routine maintenance is essential to ensure the continued reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network in the area.

The power outage will impact residents and businesses in Keeranatham, Varadhaiyangarpalaiyam, Edikarai, Atthibalayam, and certain parts of Saravanampatty. Additionally, areas including Visvasapuram, Revenue Nagar, Karattu Medu, and select portions of Vilangurichchi will experience power disruption during the maintenance window.

Other affected localities include Sivanandapuram, Sakthi Road, Sankara Street, and areas around Ravi Theatre. Authorities have advised residents and commercial establishments in these zones to make necessary arrangements and plan their activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience.

TANGEDCO has requested the cooperation of all affected consumers and assured that power supply will be restored promptly after the completion of maintenance work. In case of any emergency or queries, residents can contact the TANGEDCO helpline for assistance.

The electricity board regularly conducts such preventive maintenance activities to upgrade infrastructure, replace worn-out equipment, and prevent unexpected breakdowns that could cause prolonged power outages. Officials emphasize that these scheduled interruptions, though inconvenient, are crucial for maintaining a stable and efficient power supply system in the long run.
