Power Shutdown Announced in Coimbatore Areas Tomorrow

TANGEDCO has announced a scheduled power shutdown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 11 in several areas under the Peelamedu, Kovilpalayam and Samathur substations to facilitate monthly maintenance works.

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TANGEDCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several parts of Coimbatore district on Thursday, June 11, to carry out monthly maintenance works at the Peelamedu, Kovilpalayam and Samathur substations.

According to officials, maintenance work at the Peelamedu Substation will be undertaken from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. As a result, power supply will remain suspended in Bharathi Colony, Peelamedu Pudur, Sowripalayam, Nanjundapuram Road, Puliyakulam, Ganapathy Industrial Estate, Avarampalayam, Ramanathapuram, Kallimadai, parts of Trichy Road, Meena Estate and Udayampalayam.

At the Kovilpalayam Substation, maintenance works will also be carried out between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Power supply will be interrupted in Sarkar Samakulam, Kovilpalayam, Kurumbapalayam, Manickampalayam, Agraharam Samakulam, Kondayampalayam, Kunnathur, Kallipalayam and Mondikalipudur.

Similarly, monthly maintenance works are scheduled at the Samathur Substation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Power supply will be suspended in Samathur, Aval Chinnampalayam, Thalavaypalayam, Pazhayur, Nachipalayam, Ponnapuram, Poochiyur, Pilchinnampalayam, Jameen Kottampatti, Vadugapalayam, Kurinjery, Nambimuthur, Padhanayakanur and Sundakkampalayam.

Electricity Board officials have advised residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience during the maintenance period.
