Krishnasamy Demands Removal of Aadhav Arjuna From Cabinet

New Tamilagam leader Krishnasamy has demanded the removal of Minister Aadhav Arjuna from the Cabinet and TVK, calling for a comprehensive investigation into allegations involving his family members and related financial transactions.

Coimbatore:

New Tamilagam Party leader Krishnasamy on Monday called for the removal of Minister Aadhav Arjuna from both the State Cabinet and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), citing allegations involving members of the minister’s family and demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.

Addressing reporters in Kuniyamuthur, Krishnasamy referred to reports and documents related to alleged links between certain individuals and a drug trafficking case. He said the allegations that have surfaced in recent days involving the minister’s wife and family members were serious and warranted detailed scrutiny by the authorities.

Krishnasamy stated that enforcement agencies should conduct a comprehensive investigation into all alleged financial transactions and relationships connected to the case. He also referred to reports regarding legal proceedings involving individuals whose names have been linked to the allegations.

He said Chief Minister Vijay had promised a corruption-free and drug-free administration and therefore the present allegations should not be treated lightly. According to him, the issue should be viewed as a matter of serious public concern.

Questioning whether Aadhav Arjuna should continue as a minister and remain in TVK while such allegations are being examined, Krishnasamy urged the Chief Minister to remove him from both positions until the investigation is completed and the facts are established.

He further called for an inquiry into financial assistance reportedly provided to victims in the Karur case, seeking clarity on the source of those funds. He said all aspects of the matter should be investigated thoroughly.

Krishnasamy also demanded intervention by the State and Central governments and said a CBI probe should be considered if necessary. He maintained that a transparent and impartial investigation was essential to ensure public confidence.

The New Tamilagam leader further stated that when allegations of this nature arise against family members, the minister should voluntarily step aside and cooperate with the investigation until the matter is resolved.

When asked about the performance of the one-month-old TVK government, Krishnasamy declined to comment and said he preferred to focus on the current issue.
