Karpagam University Concludes Four-Week Summer Arts Workshop for Children

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education's School of Performing Arts organized a four-week summer refresher training program that concluded on May 29, 2026. Children received training in singing, dance, painting, and musical instruments. Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, Chairman of Karpagam Educational Institutions, presided over the valedictory ceremony held at the university campus.


Coimbatore: The four-week summer refresher training program organized by the School of Performing Arts at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education concluded successfully with a valedictory ceremony held on May 29, 2026. Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, Chairman of Karpagam Educational Institutions, presided over the closing event.

Addressing the gathering at the valedictory ceremony, Dr. R. Vasanthakumar appreciated the School of Performing Arts for providing an excellent opportunity through the summer training program where children received training in singing, dance, painting, and musical instruments. He emphasized that learning during childhood helps develop the mind in a positive direction and shapes young minds constructively.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Ravi and Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) T. Shanmugavel attended the event and graced the occasion. Professor Dr. V. Janagamayyadevi, Dean of the School of Performing Arts, delivered the welcome address at the ceremony.

During the four-week training program, numerous children from various parts of Coimbatore participated and benefited from the comprehensive arts education. The young participants received skill development training in various art forms, making productive use of their summer vacation.

Assistant Professor Dr. Praseeda Pal delivered the vote of thanks at the valedictory ceremony. The children utilized their summer holidays effectively by gaining valuable training in performing arts and enriching their creative abilities.
