Singanallur MLA Sree Giri Prasad and Corporation Commissioner Inspect Road Widening Plans in Sungam and Sivarama Nagar

Singanallur MLA K S Sree Giri Prasad and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS inspected the proposed road widening project in Sungam and Sivarama Nagar areas under Ward 83 of the Central Zone. Several corporation officials and public representatives accompanied them during the inspection.


Coimbatore: Singanallur MLA K S Sree Giri Prasad and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS conducted a field inspection of the proposed road widening project in Sungam and Sivarama Nagar areas, which fall under Ward No. 83 of the Coimbatore Corporation Central Zone.





The inspection was aimed at assessing the feasibility and requirements for the road widening initiative in these densely populated residential areas. The MLA and Commissioner personally visited the site to understand the ground realities and gather inputs from residents and officials.





The inspection team included Assistant Commissioners Dakshinamurthy and Ganesan, Executive Engineer Yogasithra, Assistant Executive Engineers Kalyanasundaram and Kumaresan, Assistant Engineers Sakthivel, Sadish, and Manjula, Health Inspector Jayaparvathi, and Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran. Members of the public and other Corporation officials were also present during the inspection.





The road widening project in Sungam and Sivarama Nagar is expected to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the area. The officials examined the existing road infrastructure and discussed the scope of the widening work with local residents to address any concerns.

Such inspections by elected representatives and senior officials demonstrate the Corporation's commitment to improving urban infrastructure in Coimbatore. The findings from this inspection will be used to prepare a detailed project report for the road widening work in the coming days.
