Senior citizen found murdered at home

A 78-year-old woman was found dead, with her legs and hands tied in her house in Perianaickenpalayam, on the outskirts of Coimbatore, today.

The victim, Pankajam, was staying alone at home. When she did not come out in the morning, some neighbours peeped through the window to find her lying on the floor, with limbs tied up with ropes.

The police, who rushed to the spot, broke open the door. Preliminary investigations revealed that a gold chain and bangles, worn by the woman, were missing.
