N.R. Karthikeyan, the candidate of the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance for the Thondamuthur Assembly constituency, filed his nomination on Tuesday at the Perur Taluk Office.
The nomination filing was carried out in the presence of party functionaries, local body representatives, alliance party members and a large number of supporters.
Party cadres and members of the public gathered in significant numbers to extend their support to the candidate during the filing process.
The event marked the formal beginning of Karthikeyan’s electoral campaign in the constituency, with leaders expressing confidence in securing victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.
