Persons with Disabilities Lead Awareness Rally in Coimbatore Urging 100% Voter Turnout

Coimbatore District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar flagged off an awareness vehicle rally led by persons with disabilities in Coimbatore, urging citizens to achieve 100% voter turnout in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled for the 23rd of this month.


Coimbatore: Over 100 persons with disabilities participated in an awareness vehicle rally in Coimbatore, emphasizing the importance of 100 percent voter turnout in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar flagged off the rally from the District Collectorate premises today.

The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on the 23rd of this month. The district administration in Coimbatore has been conducting various programs to create election awareness among citizens.

Following the announcement of the election schedule, District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar created voter awareness by flying in a hot air balloon. Additionally, several events have been organized, including election pledge ceremonies and drawing competitions for college students.

As part of these ongoing efforts, persons with disabilities organized an awareness vehicle rally in Coimbatore to stress the need for 100 percent voter participation.

The rally commenced from the Coimbatore District Collectorate premises, where Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar waved the flag to launch the event today.

More than 100 persons with disabilities participated in the awareness vehicle rally, carrying banners with messages highlighting the importance of 100 percent voter turnout. The rally started from the Collectorate office, proceeded along Avinashi Road, passed through Vauci Park and Gandhipuram, and concluded at Semmozhi Park.

The district administration has been proactive in organizing innovative awareness campaigns to ensure maximum voter participation in the upcoming elections. This rally demonstrated the commitment of persons with disabilities toward democratic participation and their effort to inspire fellow citizens to exercise their voting rights.
