Coimbatore: In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates representing AIADMK met with former BJP state president Annamalai in Coimbatore today.

The meeting saw AIADMK's Coimbatore South constituency candidate K Arjunan and Singanallur constituency candidate KR Jayaram calling on Annamalai as a mark of respect and to seek his blessings for the electoral battle ahead.

During the meeting, Annamalai extended his heartfelt wishes to both candidates, expressing confidence that they would secure victory with significant vote margins in their respective constituencies. The interaction reflected the growing coordination between BJP and AIADMK under the NDA umbrella for the state assembly polls.

The meeting was also attended by Coimbatore City District President Ramesh Kumar, former district president Balaji Uttamaramasamy, and other party functionaries. Their presence underscored the importance of the alliance's unity and coordination at the grassroots level.

The candidates' visit to Annamalai is seen as part of the alliance's strategy to strengthen coordination between the constituent parties and present a united front to the electorate. Both constituencies - Coimbatore South and Singanallur - are considered crucial for the NDA's prospects in the Coimbatore region.

With the assembly elections drawing closer, such meetings between alliance partners are expected to intensify as parties work to consolidate their vote banks and present a cohesive campaign strategy to voters across Tamil Nadu.
