India Has Strength to Tackle Any Crisis; CM Stalin's Election-Time Panic Politics Won't Work - Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan stated that India has the strength to overcome any crisis. She criticized CM M.K. Stalin's attempt to create panic among people during election time, saying his conspiracy politics won't work with the public.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has released a statement today addressing concerns over the ongoing West Asian crisis and its impact on India.

In her statement, she highlighted that the West Asian war, which has been ongoing for more than 25 days, has put the entire world in severe crisis. Due to the closure of sea routes through which crude oil and natural gas ships travel, there has been a shortage of cooking gas, petrol, and diesel worldwide. Most countries have increased fuel prices.

However, in India, where more than 140 crore people live, petrol and diesel prices have not increased. Cooking gas cylinder prices have risen only slightly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously in dialogue with leaders of West Asian countries including Iran. Due to his diplomatic efforts, crude oil ships continue to reach India through the Strait of Hormuz.

In India, approximately 30 crore families have cooking gas connections. Of these, around 20 crore connections have been provided since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014. Restrictions have been imposed on commercial cooking gas cylinders specifically to ensure that households do not face any shortage of cooking gas and homemakers are not affected.

The MLA stated that all citizens witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's capability in handling crises during the COVID-19 period. The entire world predicted that India, with its 140 crore population, would face devastation due to the COVID lockdown. However, Prime Minister Modi skillfully confronted that disaster and even provided assistance, including vaccines, to more than 40 countries.

Similarly, people know that Prime Minister Modi will also confront the West Asian war crisis. Therefore, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin need not worry about this. The Modi government has rescued affected Indians, including Tamils from Gulf countries.

Vanathi Srinivasan pointed out that people are aware that the faces of those who spread rumors about petrol and diesel shortages were exposed within two days. Cooking gas cylinders, petrol, and diesel are available without any shortage. Restrictions have been brought in only to prevent hoarding.

In the 12 years of Modi's rule, India has achieved self-sufficiency in power generation. Therefore, India can handle any crisis. Hence, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's conspiracy politics of creating panic among people during election time will not work with the public, she concluded.
