Coimbatore: The Rathinapuri Corporation Primary School in Coimbatore district celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, along with Handwashing Day and World Students' Day, on October 15. The celebration saw enthusiastic participation from students, who donned masks of Abdul Kalam to honor the former President of India.

Students gathered around a model of a missile, one of Kalam's significant achievements, to take photographs. They also held placards with Kalam's famous quotes and took pledges inspired by his teachings.

In line with Kalam's vision of a greener planet, the children actively participated in a tree planting initiative. They brought beautiful flowering plants and planted them in the school premises with their own hands. Mrs. Saroja, the headmistress of the school, appreciated and congratulated all the students who brought the plants for this eco-friendly activity.
The event not only commemorated the life and achievements of Dr. Abdul Kalam but also instilled values of cleanliness and environmental consciousness among the young students. The celebration served as an inspiring reminder of Kalam's contributions to science, education, and nation-building.
