Tirupur: Public Path Encroachment - Residents File Complaint with District Collector

Residents of Pallavanchinagar in Tirupur district petitioned the District Collector, seeking action against encroachers of a public pathway and demanding its restoration for community use.

Coimbatore: Residents of Poonga Nagar in Pallavanchinagar, Tirupur district, have submitted a petition to the District Collector's office, demanding action against those who have encroached upon a public pathway and requesting its restoration for community use.

More than 30 families reside in this area on poramboke land provided by the government. These residents have only one access road leading to their settlement. However, complaints have arisen that individuals from a private residence opposite this road, including Amudha, Nagalakshmi, and Lakshmi, have encroached upon this sole pathway and are denying others the right to use it.

The affected residents approached the Tirupur District Collector's office to file a petition. They urged the authorities to provide them with the basic necessity of road access and to take appropriate action against the encroachers. The district administration has assured that necessary steps will be taken to address this issue.

The encroachment has severely impacted the daily lives of the residents, limiting their access to essential services and posing potential risks in emergencies. The community hopes that swift action will be taken to restore the public pathway, ensuring free movement for all residents in the area.
