Tiruppur District Receives Varied Rainfall; Moolanur Records Highest at 49 mm

Tiruppur district recorded varying levels of rainfall, with Moolanur receiving the highest of 49 mm. The lowest recorded rainfall was at Tiruppur South Taluk Office, with only 1 mm. Overall, most areas experienced light to moderate rainfall.

Tiruppur district experienced a wide range of rainfall in different parts over the last 24 hours. According to the rainfall report, Moolanur recorded the highest amount at 49 mm, while other areas such as Udumalpet (35 mm) and Nallathangal Odai Reservoir (30 mm) also received significant rain. Amaravathy Dam and Dharapuram witnessed 30 mm and 24 mm respectively, contributing to moderate rainfall in these regions.

In contrast, certain areas such as Uthukuli and Tiruppur South Taluk Office recorded minimal rainfall at 2.2 mm and 1 mm respectively. The north and south taluks of Tiruppur along with Kangeyam saw only light rainfalls of 2 mm.

Reservoirs like Vattamalai Karai Odai and Kundadam registered moderate rainfalls of 22 mm and 14 mm. Uppar Dam, Palladam, and Thirumoorthy Dam each received 10 mm of rainfall, ensuring water levels in these areas remain steady.

Overall, the district saw predominantly light to moderate rainfall, aiding water reservoirs while causing no significant disruptions.
