Two Arrested for Laptop Theft at Islamic School Near Karamadai

A laptop theft occurred at an Islamic school in Venmani Nagar near Karamadai, Coimbatore district. Police analyzed CCTV footage, arrested two individuals, and recovered the stolen laptop.


Coimbatore: Two individuals have been arrested by the police for their involvement in a laptop theft at an Islamic school in Venmani Nagar near Karamadai, Coimbatore district.

Mohamed Nivas, who works as the caretaker of the Islamic school in Venmani Nagar, closed the school on the 8th and returned the next morning to find the doors broken and a valuable laptop missing from inside.

Immediately, Mohamed Nivas filed a complaint at the Karamadai Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police examined the CCTV footage from the school, which revealed two individuals involved in the theft.

Further investigation led to the identification of the culprits as Manikandan from Ooty and Karthik from Mathampalaiyam area in Coimbatore. The police arrested both individuals and recovered the stolen laptop from them.

The Karamadai Police have registered a case against the two arrested individuals and presented them before the court, after which they were remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
