Heavy Night Rain Lashes Coimbatore: Public Rejoices

Coimbatore experienced heavy rainfall in many areas during the night. Roads were flooded with rainwater. The public and farmers were delighted by the rain following intense heat.

Coimbatore: Heavy rain lashed several parts of Coimbatore city during the night hours, providing much-needed relief. The Chennai Meteorological Department had earlier forecasted heavy rainfall in various parts of Tamil Nadu.

The downpour was particularly intense in areas such as Ukkadam, Railway Station, Gandhipuram, 100 Feet Road, Siddapudur, Ram Nagar, Papanaickenpalayam, Lakshmi Mills, Avarampalayam, and Ganapathy.

While the day had been scorching hot since morning, scattered showers began in the evening across Coimbatore city. The heavy night rain caused some inconvenience to the public, with rainwater flooding the streets and creating small streams along the roads.

Despite the temporary discomfort, both the general public and farmers expressed joy over the rainfall. This comes as a welcome relief after one and a half months of severe heat waves in the region.
