Freedom Fighter Tirupur Kumaran's 120th Birth Anniversary Commemorated in Tirupur

Tirupur District Collector, MLA, and Mayor paid respects to freedom fighter Tirupur Kumaran on his 120th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue. Officials and political party members attended the event.



Tirupur: The 120th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Tirupur Kumaran was commemorated with official honors in Tirupur on Friday. District Collector Christuraj, Tirupur South MLA Selvaraj, and Tirupur Corporation Mayor Dinesh Kumar, along with other officials, paid their respects by garlanding the statue of Tirupur Kumaran at his memorial near the Tirupur Railway Station.

The event saw a significant turnout, with government officials and representatives from various political parties participating in the commemoration. The occasion highlighted the continued reverence for Kumaran's sacrifice in the struggle for India's independence.



During the ceremony, descendants of Tirupur Kumaran submitted a petition to the District Collector. They requested the government to declare a public holiday in honor of the freedom fighter and to erect a bronze statue commemorating his contributions to the independence movement.

The commemoration of Tirupur Kumaran's birth anniversary serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made during India's fight for freedom and aims to keep his legacy alive for future generations.
