AICTE ATAL Faculty Development Program on Quantum Computing Concludes at Park College

Park College of Engineering and Technology successfully concluded a six-day AICTE ATAL Faculty Development Program on Quantum Computing, enhancing educators' expertise in this cutting-edge field.



Coimbatore: Park College of Engineering and Technology successfully concluded its six-day All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Quantum Computing from September 23 to September 28, 2024. The event aimed at enhancing faculty expertise in the rapidly evolving field of quantum technology.

The closing ceremony featured an inspiring speech by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, who emphasized the importance of embracing cutting-edge technologies like quantum computing. She stressed the need for educators to stay ahead of the curve and guide students effectively in this dynamic field.



Dr. D. Lakshmanan, M.E., Ph.D., Principal of the college, addressed the gathering, expressing appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm. He highlighted quantum computing's potential to transform sectors such as cryptography, AI, and drug discovery, urging faculty to integrate this knowledge into their teaching methodologies.

Coordinated by Dr. M. Rajaram, Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, the program featured expert lectures, hands-on workshops, and interactive sessions. The FDP saw 85 internal and external participants from various institutions engaged in insightful discussions on quantum computing and its practical applications.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a week filled with learning, collaboration, and professional growth. This Faculty Development Program has equipped participants with new tools and ideas, ensuring Park College of Engineering and Technology continues to lead in innovative educational practices.
