Unemployed Youth in Coimbatore Can Apply for Government Assistance - Collector Announces

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati announced that unemployed youth can apply for monthly assistance from the Tamil Nadu government. Eligible candidates must meet specific criteria and can apply online or in person at the district employment office.


Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that unemployed youth in Coimbatore can apply for monthly financial assistance provided by the Tamil Nadu government. This initiative aims to support young individuals who have been registered with the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre for five consecutive years without securing employment.

To be eligible for the assistance, applicants must meet several criteria. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 72,000. However, there is no income limit for differently-abled individuals. The applicant must have completed their school or college education in Tamil Nadu and should have been residing in the state for at least 15 years.

Candidates applying for the assistance must be completely unemployed and should not be regular students attending educational institutions daily. However, those pursuing distance education or correspondence courses are eligible to apply. The applicant must continue to renew their registration with the employment office while receiving the assistance.

Eligible individuals can apply for the unemployment assistance either through the official website or by obtaining and submitting the application form in person at the District Employment Office. It is important to note that applicants should not be receiving any salary from private employers or any other form of assistance from the government.

The Collector emphasized that this initiative is part of the government's efforts to support unemployed youth in the district. He encouraged eligible candidates to take advantage of this opportunity and apply for the financial assistance.
