Construction of ₹15 Lakh Men's Toilet Begins in Appanaickenpalayam

Coimbatore Corporation initiates the construction of a new men's toilet facility in Appanaickenpalayam, Ward 1, with a budget of ₹15 lakh. The project commenced with a ceremonial puja on September 27.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation has kickstarted the construction of a new men's toilet facility in Appanaickenpalayam, falling under Ward 1. The project, estimated to cost ₹15 lakh, was officially inaugurated with a puja ceremony on September 27.



The new toilet will replace the existing facility near the Appanaickenpalayam Municipal Middle School. The event saw the participation of various officials and public representatives. Ward Councillor Karpagam Rajasekar, DMK Zone Secretary P. Rajasekar, and Area Committee Treasurer Rakkimuthu were present at the inauguration. Municipal Assistant Engineer Jainraj, along with other corporation officials, party executives, alliance party representatives, and local residents, also attended the ceremony.



In a related development, work to deepen the borewell near the Appanaickenpalayam overhead tank was also undertaken on the same day. Officials have announced that a new motor and pipes will be installed and made operational soon, addressing the water needs of the area.

The construction of the new toilet facility and the improvement of water infrastructure are expected to significantly enhance the public amenities in the Appanaickenpalayam area, benefiting the local residents.
