Painter Killed as Out-of-Control Car Crashes Near Peelamedu in Coimbatore

A tragic accident near Peelamedu, Coimbatore on September 22 resulted in the death of a painter from Dindigul district. An out-of-control car hit two pedestrians, leading to one fatality and one injury.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident occurred near Peelamedu in Coimbatore on September 22, when an out-of-control car struck two pedestrians, resulting in one fatality and one injury. The accident took place in the Goldwins area of Peelamedu.

Eyewitnesses immediately rushed to help the victims and transported them to a nearby private hospital. Despite intensive medical care, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries. The Coimbatore East Traffic Investigation Wing police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh (50), a painter from Dindigul district. The injured person is Christuraja (42), hailing from Ayyankulam area in Dindigul. It was revealed that both were friends who had been staying in the Peelamedu area while working on painting jobs.

The driver of the car has been identified as Srinivasan (53) from Thennampalaiyam, Tiruppur. The East Traffic Investigation Wing police have registered a case against him and are continuing their investigation into the incident.

This unfortunate accident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles at all times. The loss of life in such circumstances is a tragedy that affects not only the victim's family but also the entire community.
