Commissioner Inspects Road Improvement Works in Ward 33 of Coimbatore

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected road improvement works in Ward 33 and additional building construction at an urban primary health center in Ward 17 on September 18, 2024, under the 'Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril' scheme.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted an inspection of various development works in Coimbatore on September 18, 2024, as part of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's special scheme "Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril" (Reaching You in Your Town).

The Commissioner first visited Ward 33 in the Western Zone of Coimbatore Corporation, specifically the Kavundampalayam and Ramu Kutty Layout areas, to inspect ongoing road improvement works.



Following this, he proceeded to Ward 17 to examine the progress of additional buildings being constructed at a cost of Rs. 60 lakhs within the premises of the Kavundampalayam Municipal Urban Primary Health Center. The Commissioner also reviewed the functioning of the health center during his visit.



In the same ward, M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected a fair price shop in Kavundampalayam. He examined the quality of food items and reviewed the registers maintained at the shop.



The Commissioner was accompanied by several officials and elected representatives during the inspection. These included Western Zone Committee Chairperson Mrs. Deivayani Tamilmarai, Deputy Collector (Training) Ms. Madhu Abhinaya IAS, Ward Councilors Mr. Krishnamurthy, Mrs. Subasree, and Mr. Sampath.



Other officials present during the inspection were Assistant Engineer Mrs. Savitha, Zonal Health Officer Mr. Veeran, Assistant Town Planner Mrs. Kanthimathi, Assistant Engineers Mr. Rajesvenugopalan and Mr. Hariprasad, Sanitary Inspector Mr. Chandrasekar, and other Corporation officials.
